Please review the photography and video policy, which applies to all FMBC-sanctioned Regional events and State Championships. The following guidelines will be communicated and enforced at every event throughout the season.
Attendee Photography Policy
-
For the safety of all performers, flash photography is strictly prohibited at all FMBC-sanctioned events and State Championships.
-
To protect performer privacy, family members, friends, and spectators may take photos for personal use only, only from the stands, and such photos should be limited to the ensembles with which they are directly affiliated. The sale or commercial use of any images is not permitted.
-
Anyone obstructing the view of others or distracting judges or spectators will be asked to relocate or leave the venue.
-
Professional photographers not directly affiliated with a participating band must obtain authorization from FMBC prior to photographing any portion of an event.

Attendee Video Policy
Pursuant to U.S. copyright law, video recording of any FMBC event is prohibited unless expressly authorized. Directors may designate a representative to record performances for internal educational use only. This must been done from the spectator area, not on track, and there will not be a designated section provided for this purpose.
Public sharing, posting, or distribution of these recordings is not permitted.
FMBC disclaims all liability for unauthorized recordings and does not sanction or assume responsibility for their creation or use.

The hosting program of a Sanctioned Regional may take photos on the track during their own band’s performance only. At all other times, photography must be taken from the stands.
-
Participating bands may not have photographers on the track while their ensemble is performing. They may capture images freely during warm-up and throughout the event from spectator areas of their team only.
